St. Luke's Episcopal Church of Phillipsburg, New Jersey
A parish family that WORSHIPS God, CARES for one another and HELPS those in need in the community and beyond

Our Worship Schedule

Worship at St. Luke's is grounded in the Book of Common Prayer, with occasional use of other Episcopal authorized resources. We have bulletins printed every week to make it easy to follow our services.

If you are familiar with worship in the Episcopal Church, we use Rite II at both services.

On Sunday we celebrate two services: at 8:00 AM we have Eucharist without music, and at 10:15 AM we have a service with music and a choir.

Communion is usually received kneeling at the 8am and standing at the 10:15, except in Advent and Lent (which are penitential seasons) when we kneel at both services.

During Advent, we begin the first Sunday with the Great Litany and we also use silence more intentionally.

During Lent, we have multiple additional services with Stations of the Cross combined with Holy Eucharist on Wednesday mornings and a Stations of the Cross (only) service on Thursday evenings.
