St. Luke's Episcopal Church of Phillipsburg, New Jersey
A parish family that WORSHIPS God, CARES for one another and HELPS those in need in the community and beyond

Dear Seekers and Longtime Episcopalians alike,

St. Luke's is a place of hope in a time when people find it hard to hope. We are surrounded by newspaper and television reports telling us that we are going to have a "tough year." Expendable income is tight, the world seems to be grasping for a sense of stability, and individuals are hurting. Scarcity seems to be the operating principle too often recently. But God is about hope and abundance. At St. Luke's, we believe that this difficult time in peoples' lives can be an unplanned opportunity to re-evaluate our priorities. Faithful people have often said that a good measure of who we are comes from what we do when no one else is watching. Similarly, it comes from how we act when times are less than easy.

At St. Luke's, doing is as important as being. We are a family that works together toward the common mission of bringing others to Christ, finding places in our lives that can be made better, and helping to heal a world that is in bad need of our help. Yes, YOU can help the world through your actions- one block at a time!

We hope that you will take this time to make God part of your life through the spiritual practice of belonging to a church community. We at St. Luke's would welcome you warmly. Come try us out!

May God bless you, now and always,

peace,
Fr. Tom
